Hi, I’m Ruth.
You are so welcome here. I am a writer, blogger, wife, and mum of two based in Cardiff, Wales. Since 2011, I have kept a blog about my Christian faith, cancer diagnoses, motherhood, caregiving, and more. After having cancer twice, working as a nurse auxiliary in oncology, supporting family members and friends with additional needs and disability, and walking alongside others with personal struggles who are caring in some way, I desired to come alongside other women who are caregivers through encouragement in God’s Word, prayer, and by being present with them.
My heart is to help caregivers feel seen, supported, and less alone. I long to show how God is still faithful and true in times of trial and in every season. Trusting in Jesus, especially during adversity, has been the anchor that has held me in many storms in life. Sometimes we long for a friend to sit with us, to listen, and to connect with. Jesus is that friend. He will never fail or leave us. But He knows we should be in community. That’s not always easy or possible for caregivers. So I wanted to facilitate that connection through resources and fellowship. That is why I founded Anchored Hope For Her Heart.
My greatest hope is in Jesus Christ, and I long to see the good news of the gospel faithfully and biblically proclaimed. Encouraging others to live fully for Him and to grow in their faith where they are is my passion.
